Quite naive of me, but I assumed Costco prices were Costco prices. I needed gas, and was going to hit my local Costco--but realized there was one just a couple of miles away on my way home.

Filled up and then checked Gas Buddy. My "home" Costco was $4.99/gal and I had just paid $5.13/gal just 8 miles away.

Not a huge amount of money wasted, but sometimes it's the principle of the thing, you know? 😏

Mine is currently $5.23🤣, and yes, California…

That's near what mine is. Still a buck cheaper than the station a quarter mile away tho
