Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

What is it about AOE3 that you prefer?

Things I like about aoe3 DE

  • All nations are unique with their own game mechanics, units, cards, buildings and playstyles

  • Card shipments speed up early game play and allows more gameplay variation

  • simple unit counter system

  • the game looks beautiful and building up a city is satisfying.

  • gunpowder era combat is really fun and I like blowing up formations of infantry with cannons.

I didn't realise they had released all these definitive editions! It only feels like yesterday that they did the re-release of AoE2 and apparently that was 10 years ago. Those screen shots look amazing!

I have played AoE3 (original) years ago, and enjoyed it, but didn't remember much about it. It looks like the definitive edition has a free trial, so I might give it a go.

A cool thing that the aoe3 definitive edition brings is historical battles which are pretty fun scenarios where the odds are stacked against you. These can be played solo or co op.

Probably not in the free trial but I'll take a look 🙂

Edit: They did have one mission in the free trial.
