You could try foaming your milk using a french press.
Basically, you warm your milk up then put it in the french press, and repeatedly plunge it up and down until it foams up. Worked well with oat milk when I tried it.

Honestly just shaking the bottle of milk before pouring it works fine. It's not the same as say a latte, but it's a bit frothy. Especially if I accidentally boil it, which makes it a bit frothier.
Boiling oat milk works just the same as cow milk - i.e. it swells up and overflows making a mess everywhere 😆
Haha, fair enough. It always seemed like a bit too much effort for me as well, but I'm a stalwart black coffee guy anyway.
