For me it's probably night. Like after 9:30pm. For some reason it kind of feels free to me. As I rarely leave the house I don't get to enjoy it outside, but night outside (when it's not hot) always feels special to me.
Came here to say this. The times in which it is basically not socially acceptable to bother others (e.g. people leave you alone unless there is an emergency) are the most comforting times. Late night, early morning = peace.
Maybe that's part of it for me, I definitely don't have to deal with others at night unless I choose to. The outside part, at night, has this whimsy element to it for me. What I mean is things are quieter, shadows make the world feel more unexplored or different, and of course way fewer people.
