Pretty self-explanatory but the idea is to combine the "share" logo with the crossbones. The message is peers 2 peers, from many to many, sharing is caring, but the deisgn still recalls the awesome pirate flag.

What if we use this as the bones, and put a skull above it

This stands well enough on its own. And the skull, although kinda classy in an edgy way, will always hold a rather negative connotation.

Call me corny but a little floppy disk or a globe or something could be cool

A globe for the cranium and a floppy for the jaw maybe?

Looking at this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jolly_Roger

It looks like the main historical elements used in pirate vexillology were:

  • a skull

  • a skeleton

  • crossbones

  • a sword, spear, or dagger

  • a heart, often bleeding

  • an hourglass

  • elements of period seagoing clothing
