TBF it doesn't seem like they were against piracy per se, they just wanted to avoid potential liability. That said, I've still moved on to another instance.

In what fucking way could steam deck piracy differ from just normal game piracy? What exactly is walled off to the steam deck that it must be pirated?

Lots of repack installers don't work well in Wine/Proton, and a few games might need tweaks to run well on Steam Deck.

On Reddit, r/LinuxCrackSupport pretty much took Steam Deck issues under its wing, but you'd be surprised at how separate the discussions really are from normal piracy.
