Mississippi CoL is a far cry from NYC

A big problem because it means a federal worker in NYC gets as much as a federal worker in Mississippi. That it hasn't changed for 20 years suggests both are underpaid, but the NYC worker has definitely got to get another job.

Yes, the text under the picture is misinformative for no good reason. It's still the wage of many of the people picking the fruit that retailers somehow end up selling for outrageous prices in NY supermarkets, so I'd argue it's something any American should be concerned about no matter how backwards their particular state is in this regard.
