Is there a known way to fix what I'm assuming is a bug I'm having with federation?
When I use the side bar icon for federation it's set to off. When I select to turn it on the page reloads and I'm presented with the general settings options.
My feed is still not federated.
I've tried on duckduckgo and Firefox on mobile and Firefox on my mac. Haven't tried on the pwa because it's a slow and crashing mess for me.
Anyone out there have any idea how I can fix this and get the full federation experience with my kbin account?
kbin gets occasional updates* so I'd say clear any and all cookies and stored website data for kbin (or, inconveniently, everything), but I assume that at least one of the browsers you've tried hadn't ever logged on to kbin, so that would rule that out.
It might be a browser extension/add-on that's having a weird effect. Try with those disabled temporarily, maybe, if you have any in the first place.
* Not sure precisely what changes, but it might affect cookies. Maybe?
