Loving Memmy so far!

The only two things I’d like to see are:

  • searching within a community (this is probably requested previously but I can’t search previous posts. Please let me know if I’m wrong here!)

  • the subscriptions tab to become a button within the dock at the bottom. I frequently move between my subscriptions and I find it a little tucked away at the moment.

Regardless, love your work. It’s always a bit rich making requests for something that is FREE! So, again, thanks for all your hard work and feel free to disregard the above.

I just mentioned the tabs disappearing is better solved than in Apollo, didn’t say that was mandatory as per guidelines.

As for the frosted glass effect it is UI as well as UX, as UI contributes to the UX. If you personally don’t like it, that’s your thing. It’s especially nice to have the content scroll under the bars, it makes the static boring monotone footers and headers come to life and gives you the illusion of a bigger screen. Take the latest Netflix design on iOS for example. The header is huge, but the video poster moves so nicely under them. All the Apple iOS apps have this effect. And a lot of Apple users care

It doesn’t contribute to UX, it’s purely a visual thing. I’m more interested in design guidelines that pertain to UX and usability.

Maybe we’ll add glassmorphism as an option someday, but the priority to me would be usability issues that go against apple guidelines.
