@[email protected] @[email protected] ooh...
A hamburger menu in Kate :ablobcatknitsweats:
My fears seems to come true π°
I'll wait to see the final result but it's probably for me the signal to start to look for something else π
@grum999 @[email protected] @[email protected]
It's been there for several versions now. Its disabled by default and only shown if you have your normal menu bar hidden, because large programmes like kate with a lot of options needs the classic menu bar for ease of access.
So nothing for you to worry here.
( And even if it were the default, checking the show menu bar button would probably be easier than switching to something new, don't you think? )
@whjjackwhite @[email protected] @[email protected] Ooh you means that's optional, and classic menu bar will still be here for whom prefer it!? :blobcataww:
Yes. Likewise in all hamburgerised applications. It is optional in all of them. [Ctrl]+[M] will toggle between one mode and the other.
@Bro666 I wasn't aware of CTRL+M
This makes my day thanks!
(Then I'll maybe reconsider other applications for which hamburger seems to be the default...)
I always use classic menu and never saw that the hamburger menu already exists in Kate π
I was so afraid when I saw the screenshot :ablobcatknitsweats:
@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] Actually you can just press Ctrl+M to toggle it.
You'll most likely be able to restore the Menubar in Kate just like you can in Dolphin.
