The only reason you'd be opposing national park status is because you are a hill farmer who wants to control yet more land either by removing more people, or converting to far too lucrative tree plantations. Fuck em

As opposed to the landed gentry doing what they want? National parks help bring ownership away from landlords who show a persistent inability to think about anyone else but their heirs
