Since the release of Sync for Lemmy, some servers (like Lemmy.world for example) are down quite often, probably because of a huge influx of users. Will something be done about the big increase in down-time across Lemmy servers, and if so, how will that problem be dealt with in the near and far future?
Thank you.
Just like any performance issue: server runners are doing great work to discover what's crashing their instances, and those bubble up to lemmy, so people can do PRs to fix them.
Thanks for answering. Lemmy is awesome btw and I'm sure it's going to grow into an even more amazing thing.
Feels probably like something the server admins themselves need to deal with no? Like if their servers are overloaded that's on them. Pause signups if needed if they can't cope. Lemmy.world having such shit uptime is just turning people away from Lemmy at the moment.
