Sorry, defenders of irrationality: calling out an invalid argument (without claiming that implies a false conclusion) is not argument from fallacy. When someone points out your argument is flawed, fix it. ๐
Argument from authority (logic is an authority and we do not recognize its mandate to rule on this website)
Good joke: irrational people on this website certainly don't recognize much.
Definition doesn't apply: logic isn't "an authority" capable of bearing "opinion" or "expertise".
That's certainly logically true, and as such, I cannot accept it ;-)
That's not how one should use voting on lemmy. If the conclusion happens to be right but the reasoning is faulty, it's still a bad post.
Conversely, if the conclusion was wrong but it added value to the discussion, then it's still a good post.
