I saw that beehaw.org was defederated from lemmy.world but not on lemmy.one. And I am on the latter one. What does it mean exactly?

Is this why when I try to subscribe to a Beehaw server it says subscription pending?

Exactly. Beehaw is no longer accepting users from other Lemmy instances, so your subscription will not go through to a Beehaw community, unless you are accessing it from either Beehaw, or one of the other instances Beehaw still federates with such as Lemmy.one.

So when I try to aubscribe to a community, but it says "pending" it is defederalized? Because I encountered it quite often. But some even show in my subscriptions, even though the community says "pending". Is this a bug or something?

Is there a way to know if an instance is defederalized to mine? Or should I simply not see those?
