A place to share alternatives to popular online services that can be self-hosted without giving up privacy or locking you into a service you don't control.

Nix OS is way more pain than it is worth for me.

There are plenty of alternatives that are much simpler. I prefer just a Debian install managed with tools like Ansible and pyinfra
