What the fuck do you mean government employees are public property? Government employees are people working for an employer, just like everyone else, and deserve not to have their job follow them home unless they're breaking the law.

Go after the agencies and the political appointees, not the hired help!

And, yes, this is likely illegal to publish the employee's addresses in this way since the goal is to threaten or harass them. Publish their workplace info, not their home addresses.

I do want to say that ICE needs to be stopped. They ARE breaking laws. They SHOULD be held accountable. I'm just taking offense at the idea that government employees are public property and can be treated as such.

"Government Employee" covers a lot more people than the DHS employees whose jobs you disagree with. Should it be legal for right-wing nuts to start doxing EPA employees? Just because you disagree sith someone's job isn't a reason to dox them. Go after the ones breaking the law and the political appointees, but there are legal ways to do that.

I'll repeat; I disagree with what ICE is doing and think they should be held to account but government employees are not "public property" any more than you are the property of your employer.

Did you read the linked ‘article’ though? It’s short so I’d recommend it. Nothing about addresses, they showed up to serve a warrant over some posters with an armed convoy and took drone footage for Fox. An immigration policy expert is quoted saying they think they’ll have a hard time proving the alleged charges.

Clearly this was intended as intimidation and show of force on the part of the government to discourage what is, until proven otherwise, entirely legal and constitutional behavior.

The operation, described by witnesses as a “military-style brigade,” involved a cavalcade of armored vehicles, with ICE providing Fox News with drone footage showing the procession through Pasadena streets to serve a criminal search warrant.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released, allegedly posted fliers around Southern California, including Los Angeles, that listed HSI agents’ names, photographs, phone numbers, and alleged locations, marked with warnings in Spanish such as “CAREFUL WITH THESE FACES.”

Fox News reported the suspect is being charged under 18 U.S.C. § 119, a federal law prohibiting the sharing of law enforcement officers’ personal information with intent to threaten, intimidate, or incite violence.

“I think they are likely going to have a hard time proving that,” said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, an immigration policy expert. “But they have certainly sent a message.” The operation comes amid heightened tensions over the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement, with ICE reporting over 66,000 arrests of illegal immigrants in the first 100 days of President Donald Trump’s second term.

Anti-ICE have escalated resistance since Trump returned to the White House in January, patrolling neighborhoods to warn residents of ICE activities and distributing fliers to expose agents’ identities.

The investigation remains ongoing, with ICE and the FBI working to identify others involved in the flier campaign. No additional details about the suspect or charges were immediately available.

Yep, I agree with you and I did read the article before replying. The other poster still said that government employees are "public property" and that it isn't illegal to dox them. I was replying to that more than I was responding to the article.
