Ngl, this article paints a pretty grim future for America and especially for trans Americans.

Leaving doesn't work this time, nukes exist. Unless everyone stays and fights the whole world is doomed.

I used to think like this. Now I think "eh, if that does happen, all my problems will at least be solved very quickly."

Most people aren't going to want to die for a country that's hated them all their lives. That's what staying means.

As another poster indicated, if nukes start flying I'm grabbing a drink and sauntering directly towards the expected point of detonation. Having it all be over very quickly doesn't sound too bad.

Up until that point though? I have already spent most of my life having to fight against society to make room for myself because I'm not wired to just fit in. That's going to be true wherever I go and I'm OK with that. However, I'm not going to put even more effort info trying to fight what appears to be a losing battle just for the sake of it.
