Same premise as that show SuperNanny: Children love nothing more than structure imposed by someone they see as a superior.
Man-children are no different. Plenty of kids I grew up with never had a childhood, working on a ranch. They were adults, by modern standards, by around age 14. And yet there's plenty of 30-year olds that still have learning and growing to do to reach the same place as a farm kid.
