I may have known it at one point, but not memorized currently.

I don't feel or think memorization is necessarily necessary, just grasping the general gist is enough, until one is ready to delve deeper.

I believe in cherry-picking from every religion in the world... (or any story) ...

I'm almost Omni myself, I'm thinking "Deist" is the same and yes, the most appropriate tool available for the job at hand. "Almost" because Laveyan Satanism seems too Randian, for my particular tastes, but I haven't gone that direction for a fresh look in several decades. A particular Watcher keeps popping up in my attention field, lately, but I'm very fond of the 72 names, in a general grasp kind of way.

I'm extremely fond of Campbell/Moyers work with slight discrepancies in thought, which is always, always under revision -- once "done" the Great Work is always refined, even torn down to be rebuilt, a Tower (of Babel?) in and of itself.

And we are running around like beggars, the world over, picking up crumbs from every kind of anarchists, Marxists, this thing, fascists, this thing that thing, all over the world. All of which, put together, could never come close to the psychological spiritual wisdom that was given to us to begin with... and that we have simply forgotten about and thrown away. And how incredibly unfortunate and terrible this is. And, I know for a fact, that Joseph Campbell feels this very very keenly.

I think Marx has plenty of to offer, cherry -picking, of course.

Stephen Hoeller*, the tarot reader? Fascinating. I've used tarot as a tool for reflection, doing shadow work... The way it should be used, for "divinatory" purposes. That is, for knowing myself. Which TBH, is what I was hinting at, when I asked if you used any esoteric entities, which started this conversation. Imagine my delight when I recently learned, after three years of using tarot specifically to those ends, on learning a licensed practitioner also does , in the California. Iirc LA area, but I could be misremembering. Also Myss' Archetypes Cards. Daily. Which brings us full circle. ๐ŸŒ€

Thanks so much for your help most kind and detailed reply.

Cheers!
