Oh wow, that's cool! I have butterworts and they're super finicky, too. I've propagated them and it always feels like a gamble which ones will survive, but so far I've found the best growing medium to be the sphagnum moss, like you mentioned.

I think part of the problem for me was also growing them inside when they’re really an outside species. I should probably try some of the South African species! Butterworts are very cool too!

Good point. I've had success with a terrarium but it's a pain to keep clean
