But the HP experience sucks even more.

They don't always suck, just usually. The HP Reverb 2 was a pretty good VR headset for the price. I felt like I got my money's worth out of it without any significant issues.

I have an HP monitor that is good quality, prefer it over the Samsung one I have

I have two Samsung monitors. Both purchased about 10 years apart. The only Samsung displays I've ever purchased. Both have dead fucking pixels. I'll never willingly purchase a Samsung display, monitor or TV, again.
