I’d love a community related to making clothes :)
Basically r/sewing and r/historicalcostuming, but it could also include stuff like shoemaking, knitting, altering clothes, thrift flipping, hat making, vintage clothes, maybe also cosplays.
This is currently all in the creative community here but that one is a little too broad to my taste.
Yessss, visiblemending and invisiblemending were 2 of my favs on reddit and got me into sewing, seeing a place for projects like that would be super fun.
“Fibers and Fabrics” would cover spinning, nalbinding, crochet, knitting, macrame, clothing, quilting, sewing, weaving, etc. and still be broad enough to be a lively community.
When things get too specific, they get sparse and lost and alone…
Maybe "Needle Work", so it could also include embroidery and cross stitch ?
