AOC was never anything but a “progressive” liberal, and she completely sold out not long after getting into office. Have we already forgotten that she voted to crush a worker strike and voted against raising minimum wage? She’s a scab and a career politician working for the wealthy donor class.

Until such a time as a socialist revolution seems plausible, I still prefer to see progressive liberals in power over conservatives.

Sure, but we must also remember not to pretend progressive liberals are enough, and make sure to engage in politics beyond the election cycle if we want any real power.

She is not progressive at all. AOC is a fascist. She has written, that she condemns Hamas and supports “Israel’s right to exist”. She is ideologically supporting far-right fascist settler colonialism. (https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/rep-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-condemns-hatred-antisemitism-palestinian-rcna119687) She inherently normalizes the stealing of land of the Palestinian people and condemns people fighting back to liberate themselves.

Bro that's so not the same as fascism. I don't approve at all of Israel's actions, I hate Zionism, but I don't believe it's a given that Israel must be eradicated. I'm disappointed by AOC's stance on Israel and Palestine, but I would not say it is fascism at all. If you think that advocating for an "immediate cease-fire and de-escalation" is anything like fascist Zionism then you need a reality check.

Supporting the existence of an ethno-state whose entire history is predicated on the removal of the native people through land stealing with this idea that they need living space (sound familiar?) sounds prey fascist to me. Israel’s whole existence places Palestinians below Israelis since it normalizes stealing land and houses of Palestinians for Israelis to take. Secondly, condemning Hamas is essentially condemning the right of the Palestinians to fight back against Israeli oppression which again places Israelis above Palestinians. To support humanity you would have to support the eradication of Israel and the return of land to the Palestinians whose land was stolen. AOC sounds like to me, someone who would take time to condemn the actions of Herschel Grynszpan following the Kristallnacht.

It sounds fascist, especially when you phrase it that way, but it is not. My philosophy is that everyone has a right to live where they are born. Is it fascist to desire anything less than the eradication of Canada? IMO working for realistic, incremental, achievable improvements over the status quo (for instance) is not fascist.

plausible?

u.s. is in near-freefall.

Every day we are settung precident for what we will and will not tolerate. Not pulling the lever on socialist revolution keeps us on track for tyranical feudalism.

We can make it plausible or sleep in the graves corprate is ordering us to dig for ourselves.

Pardon the passions, folks who have already worked out their character sheet and place in the effort.

I am always trying to shift people left. But there just aren't enough of us yet.

thanks for your efforts!

more of us than one might think. and we don't always need all diehard lefties to fight for Wages Hours and Conditions.

It's good to turn up the signal as more people of all stripes become Unsure as instability and chaos build in our systems.

Anyway -- something important to keep in mind is that a hard left turns are fought with gardens and tools and 'barn'(etc) raisings even more than demonstrations or violence.

Labor movement, black panthers, and zapatistas are worth a quick study for grassroots practices.

admittedly, what the oligarchy and police state don't want folks to learn about is Direct Action.
