Is there a community/site that organises and lists open source projects?

I want to get into working on open source projects but I have found it difficult to find the projects themselves.

I'd preferably like to be able to filter by project type, tech stack, state of development, active users, and active developers.

Is this an open source project in itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

codeberg, gitlab, github etc.

You can go to those and find a list of public projects and filter by (some of) your criteria.

I'd never heard of codeberg, thanks for the heads up

Gitlab ~~will be down for a week (or more) due to server migration~~ operates under a freemium model. GitHub is having weird Microsoft money making issues. Codeberg is the "non corporate" alternative and I see it being mentioned more and more.

Are you talking about Freedesktop.org selfhosted gitlab instance? They have a week of planned maintenance. I don't think gitlab's main gitlab.com instance is going down for week.

You're right. My bad. I mixed up the news.
