I've been wanting to buy a laptop from them for awhile, but I like to assemble my own PCs and honestly don't need a laptop. At this point I'm just looking for an excuse to support such companies...

I would consider them for a future laptop but how many Linux users aren't building their own desktops?

That's fair. I don't have the time either but I love building a new custom rig and I trust myself to get it right over pre built PCs. So I make time. Saves a few $ too.

absolutely fair. A better phrasing would be "I'm not willing to spend the time and mental energy" instead of "I don't have it" to be honest.
