We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. I didn't say schools were being shut down. I said that it will result in children being increasingly ignorant. Why do you think that they are shutting down the agency that regulates schools, to save chump change?
How so? What are some examples of children becoming increasingly ignorant?
There would be less funding for schools, especially low income, special education, and rural. Less funding means more uneducated children. That is one example, but the DOE manages grants and loans, oversees civil rights and access, and national education standards and data. These are things that increase education accessibility and quality.
Meanwhile they're drafting an almost 5 trillion dollar tax giveaway for the richest people in the country.
Real money saving group they are.
