It's meant to be a, "I'm a serious man and a serious genius intently calculating on what was said." So transparent it's pathetic. When people throw that face, I know damned well they aren't listening and think they're smarter than me.

Just had to endure corporate training where a woman held that face non-stop. Tuned me completely out, and guess what? Most of what came out of her mouth was useless, didn't contribute a thing. To top it off, she was one of those people who smile, showing teeth, while frowning. So she's happy and serious?!

Shit is like chalkboard nails to my brain.

It’s a smirk not a smile by the way. Pompous ass wipes bothers me too, I can never tell them they’re wrong, but have shown them plenty of times.
