You're actually sitting in your room, writing a joke to post on Lemmy and you'll actually laugh at your own joke? That's hilarious, I can imagine it
Have you ever had someone tell you a joke and the person starts laughing mid sentence? Doesn't really matter if the joke is good or bad. We have to laugh. Laugh is contagious.
I mean sometimes I've seen people doing that, in real life since you're reacting with other people. Most of the time not. Some think of it as a bit gauche. I just don't think it's a sensible requirement for saying a joke, especially when it's online.
You're taking yourself too serious.
