One’s parents (hopefully) say as you are growing up that they just want you to be happy and that’s all that matters.
It’s nice when you find that they really meant it all along!
Yes, I agree. It is just something a lot of parents say, but it often takes years to find out what the true parameters and limitations of their desire for you to find happiness really are.
Sometimes parents can surprise you. It turns out they are people too and are capable of growth and change.
