Because people say that it's usually outdated
Steam updates itself so it shouldn't be a problem I run debian and use the package from their Repo and have no issues
That would be very weird. I gather that Mint use Ubuntu's packages so it should be OK. Did you try it?
Well....... I ended up installing the .DEB version that you download directly from Steam's website

Because people usually recommend that in case of Steam
I never heard that and never installed Steam without a package manager. Be careful not to listen to everyone's advices.
What if I told you it came from a principled youtuber ?
I don't think you should trust it more.
