This is a personal collection of things I find around the internet.
Alright, so somehow you found this place. Here's what to expect:
- Posts will be random; there are absolutely no themes here.
- Posts may be overwhelmingly frequent (sorry about your sub feed).
- Posts may be unbearably infrequent; you may forget you subscribed here.
- Posts may be oh, so very boring to you.
Due to the nature of this place, you may find a bunch of stuff that you don't care about, but you may also find a new passion.
So, the gist is, this is a place where I'll share random things, and you'll discover the internet with me.
Oh yeah, I didn't advertise this place anywhere, so hey, how did you even get here?
Check out the sister sub where you discover music with me! [email protected]

Woah. That's pretty cool. Gonna be doing some deep dives. It'd be cool if the various subgenres hyperlinked to key examples - ofc wikipedia is usually pretty decent for that
It actually does! It's just in a list format this way. Right here
You can also type an artist you like in the search box and it will give you what genres they're listed as so you can explore that genre. I guess just an FYI, this is the original project that started categorizing music created by MIT called "Echo Nest". It was eventually bought out by Spotify some years back, but luckily the site remains and gets updates every now and then too.
I appreciate you following up! 6 degrees of separation types of discovery is my fave way to get exposed to music and widen my tastes - and end up learning about artists that otherwise get forgotten overtime
