A space for stealth transsexual men. Feel free to post questions, concerns, rants, news, etc.

Rules:

  1. No self-promotion or ads of any kind. Sharing legitimate resources without affiliate links is ok.
  2. No bigotry towards people who are not stealth.
  3. No bigotry towards people who are non-binary.
  4. This isn't a space to debate whether or not being stealth is right or wrong. Not everyone who is labeled as trans identifies with it or navigates it the same way. That's ok.

They serve slightly different purposes. VocalImage kind of holds your hand through your session. You can think of it like Yousician but just for vocal training. They have a track for masculinization. VocalImage is a subscription, and I think it was $60USD for the year when I last paid for it. It does not give live pitch information. Uses AI.

Vocular is made for the purpose of masculinizing the voice. It is a tool for measuring your progress. The blog has information on exercises. It’s a one time fee of $4 USD. It gives live pitch information. No idea if it uses AI but doesn’t look like it.

I am a geek for bio and neuro feedback, so the latter of the two seemed like an obvious choice for me. But I feel like I wouldn’t find Vocular as useful without first trying and learning from VocalImage.

Anyone else voice train? What’s your protocol?

Is this mainly for singers? Or for anyone who wants to get their Barry Mannilow on?

both are for speaking but vocalimage has a singing track i think. i haven’t tried that curriculum though.
