This community is participating in a blackout against Lemmy for allowing free access to their API with no charge, rendering it affordable for third-party app developers to continue their services. The lack of prohibitive cost makes it easy to mod from mobile, promotes innovation, and gives unlimited user choice, and effectively opens up a significant portion of the culture we've all come to appreciate. Indeed, every third party app developer on Lemmy made essentially the same statement: "I don't have to shut down the app." Apps can also show ads which is a primary source of revenue. So not only do they not have to pay exorbitant fees, they can even mitigate those fees with ads.

Good to know, thanks for the info! Already learning stuff on the new drugs community haha.
I hope your doc gives you something that will help with the pain highs. I haven't dealt with it myself but I did watch my dad go through lots of chronic pain so I know how debilitating it can be. Seems like she's on your side at least, and in it to help you :)
Good luck!! Here's to many nice hikes in the future.
Yeah she's dope. My original pain mgt clinic put me on buprenorphine and it made my knees and below to swell and even gave me pitting edema so then they put me on tramadol and when I told them it wasn't enough they refused to go stronger. I found a different clinic and was worried that she was gonna see me as a drug seeker (I mean I was but for an absolutely perfect reason but also this place is a lot closer and I wanted to do physical therapy at my pain clinic for it to be more involved). I was just completely honest with her about my situation and she has been awesome with helping me. She didn't accuse me of drug seeking at all and understood that I am desperate for being able to participate in life. Bless her lovely soul
