For us Aussies in down under, the steam deck AU official launch date is now 19 Nov 2024 , 10am from valve.

I was holding off due to the price / using steam link + a kishi on NY android, but after playing one at PAX AU and changing jobs to be in hotels/train commute, I will be getting one the instant its out.

For the curious, yes we could get grey import them in AU but the price gouging was astronomical, the official valve pricing is actually affordable

Thrilled to hear. Have you gotten any accessories for it?

I've been debating grabbing a decent battery pack as I have no functional ones, and a dock so I can steam link stream from the gaming PC to my TV.

Can't say im feeling the 3rd party cases, I think I'll stick with the Included.

I did pick the DBrand Kill Switch case (including. skin and screen protector) for both me and my partner. It was on the pricer side, but I'm pretty happy with it. Feels quite good to hold and certainly rugged enough to protect it. The skins also stop us from getting each others decks mixed up.

As for a dock, I picked up the Anker one and it's alright. Would have preferred the official one, but everywhere was charging a hefty price for importing it.

I already had a hefty battery pack for travelling. Haven't needed it much myself, but my partner recently made good use of it for an international flight.
