Summary

Trump joked that assassins would have to shoot through the fake news to reach him, protected by bulletproof glass. He also claimed his ability to weave nonsensical talking points together was a sign of his intelligence.

The quote you're looking for:

"And I have a piece of glass over here, and I don't have a piece of glass there, and I have this piece of glass here," he opined. "But all we have really over here is the fake news, right?"

"And to get me, somebody would have to shoot through the fake news, and I don't mind that so much," he continued. "I don't mind, I don't mind that."

He's talking in the first part about bulletproof glass, and then "all we really have over here is the fake news" is when he is pointing at what I believe to be the press area. He points again while saying "somebody would have to shoot through," completing this gesture with his pointed right hand coming slightly back to himself, as though to mimic the path of a bullet.

Donald Trump has suggested that the press he doesn't like should be shot, and that he "[wouldn't] mind that." It's hardly a leap to think that as president, he would pardon anyone would would shoot those who oppose him.

He is more and more a bumbling idiot, and yet we try to find sense behind his words.

He has called the press "the enemy of the people" for years now. We all know what dictators do to their self-declared "enemies of the people". But for some reason a lot of that same press is so intent on sanewashing him.
