Leave it to democrats to take a question about basic decency that massively works in their favor, and turn it into a dubious question of whether a criminal law was violated beyond a reasonable doubt.
the article is about the Haitian Bridge Alliance filing criminal charges because of the effects the "Haitian immigrants eating our dogs" lie has caused. This has nothing to do with party sides and everything to do with cause and effect. Jd vance openly said on tv that if he has to lie to get people's attention then he'd do it, and now we're seeing what happens when you mobilize a large part of the country to harass and discriminate against legal Haitian immigrants who are just trying to live their lives like anyone else.
Now as far as slander goes, the courts would need to decide if malice was involved in the statements that at least one of them has openly admitted to being* false.
Of course this could all just be avoided by not telling lies.
Lol WITF does that even mean? Leave it to Democrats to say the thing that people care about and promise to do something about it?
ARE YOU OKAY?
Maybe instead of resorting to exaggerated dismissals and suggesting I lack sanity, think about it for a minute because I think once you do, it's pretty obvious.
What they should do about it is use it to win and keep Trump out of the White House. If they turn it into a criminal law issue it'll confuse the matter and turn what should be an argument about right vs. wrong into legal vs. illegal. There exists a realm of behavior, quite a large realm in fact, of things that are deplorable but not illegal. Such as waving an ISIS flag, or walking around in a Hitler moustache and armband. That's where Trump's behavior fits.
This is why when a Nazi gets criticized, the first thing they do is cry "free speech". Because by making it a legal matter, they're picking the best hill for them to fight on. They skip the question of whether their behavior is reprehensible, and fight a battle they can win - whether it's legal.
So if you want to do Trump the biggest favor imaginable, decide to fight this in the courts. Make the question "Is it legal to be racist" because we all know the answer is yes, and even if it wasn't the courts (especially in red Ohio) are heavily in Trump's favor and have repeatedly shown willingness to help him out. That way we can have a dismissal and headlines "Trump wins again" and pictures of him with a big smile on his face. See: Just about every past time Trump has been brought to court, or charged with impeachment.
they literally already tried to impeach him, twice over this. None of them worked because of republicans lmao.
Yes, which is why it's bad to go where Republicans (legislators or judges) have all the power. Go to the media, hollywood, whatever. Why isn't there a movie about the first Trump administration's crimes yet? Go straight to the people.
the federal government was a complete mess after the end of trumps term. The supreme court is pushing out unconstitutional rulings that don't even make sense for it to preside over. The congress is so mind fucked that it can't even fix basic problems like immigration without impaling itself over it's own knife. Courts are delaying rulings for no reason other than to push it beyond the election, these courts are also fraught with judges who should be barred (aileen cannon) republican figures themselves are literally lying about shit live on television to garner support for things that don't exist. Springfield ohio is a terrible place to be right now. People who worked at dominion received constant death threats after fox news ran the dominion story, then got sued and settled for "defamation" as a fucking news company, do you realize how bad you have to fuck up to settle a defamation case immediately? AS A FUCKING NEWS BROADCASTER. Every politician that has ever slighted trump has had their career ruined, except for democrats, republicans really love to eat their own for some reason. I can keep going if you would like.
Trump barely managed to push any legislation through the government, he kneecapped basically every cabinet and group within the government (including the pandemic response one)
Regardless the rest of your comment is a diversion.
there is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1NUXFfcoDs
and an accompanying two hour retrospective. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPIedGtAJfw
there is another creator who has done something similar as well. https://youtu.be/gdstZDCCgAc
(relevant to the first two links) i can upload the entire stream on archive.org and post a link here if you would like, i have it archived myself.
and this is just jan 6th, if you were to compile EVERY thing that trump did throughout his admin, it would probably be hundreds of hours long. Not to mention the only reason why you seem to think a movie would be a good format for this, is because that's how republicans are pushing modern propaganda these days.
