Seen autoclaves used for aircraft parts construction. Massive.

Why do aircraft parts need to be sterile?

It’s not for it to be sterile, it’s to manufacture composite parts. They get vacuum bagged, then put into the autoclave and heated under pressure to bond all the layers extremely tightly.

It is more for heat treatment of the metal after forming it, or for coatings that require it.
