Für Doofe hat man das dann mit 1,5 m bzw. 2 m Mindestabstand spezifiziert.

Die 1,5 bzw. 2 Meter gelten vom rechten Außenspiegel zum linken Lenkerende. Das ignorieren viele Autofahrer selbstverständlich.

Das siehst Du falsch. Die verschätzen sich nur schon dabei, wie viel 20 cm eigentlich sind und das setzt sich bei 2 m entsprechend fort.
