I don't know why this is getting downvoted.
The US election normally has world-wide implications in terms of women's health funding, international aide, whether countries are allowed to be okay with gay people - it's extremely impactful.
In this particular case Trump would likely pull funding from any of the countries that cozied up to the US economically in favor of Chinese investors - or just issue extremely destructive fiats on trade rules that destroy random economies... he's currently proposing a 20% import tariff that'd likely devastate the US's closest allies but also cause shocks to any other interconnected economies.
On one hand yes, on the othe hand: What does Liechtenstein have to say? Or Starbucks? Did someone ask the Illuminati yet?
Anyone check in with Isle of Man?
I, for one, refuse to take a stance on any political issue until Greg, the 17yo who stocks the Co-Op in West Linton, Scotland, weighs in.
I don't think it's comparable because Kenya is probably the US' primary African ally. South Africa and Nigeria are countries with more importance on the world stage, but they both aren't as consistently aligned with the US as Kenya is, and Nigeria's government is very unstable while Kenya is abnormally stable (for Africa). Egypt is very tied to the US in terms of military & foreign policy, but it's not as important to the US as Kenya and South Africa, and it's a corrupt dictatorship that constantly violates human rights so their opinion on our democracy doesn't really matter. The only other countries consistently aligned with the US that are comparable to Kenya are Morocco, Ghana, and Botswana, but Kenya is more critical to US efforts in Africa than them.
Kenya plays an important role in America's presence in Africa while also being relatively democratic and heavily aligned with the US, so I think their opinion matters a lot more than the average nation's.
I did not downvote it, but I understand the frustration when it comes to not hoping to see tons of articles, each one about what people from one country think about the situation.
