TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.
Fun will now commence.

You'll have to pretend that's Neelix because I don't know how to Photoshop a GIF.
I've got you
Fantastic. lol
Video editing is not something I'm equipped with the tools or skills to do, so I appreciate it all the more when other people can.
The best I can do is add a chyron and splice in some B-roll lol.
The fair, I did this in 2 minutes on my phone. Video editing isn't too difficult once you have some knowledge and a giant stockpile of footage.
Yeah, the tools are where I lack knowledge. Mostly just ignorance on my part for having not kept up to date. That, and finding good ones that work well on Linux.
The last time I reallydid any kind of video editing was in college when I was minoring in broadcast journalism. When I think of editing a video, my mind immediately goes to firing up Final Cut Pro or popping my S-VHS tape in the linear video editing machine.
Ok, typing S-VHS just now made me feel like I'm a million years old 😆
I do all my edits on Linux. I really recommend Shotcut and Kdenlive. If you are lucky, Davinci Resolve compile and run for you (it won't for me because it is super picky about hardware).
