I was able to play the first couple days after the July 4 update, but all of a sudden I am getting the game to hang and crash after approx 3minutes every time I try to play.

I am rather a Linux noob, have scoured many forums, protondb, steam discussions, and i am not seeing anyone with similar issues of recent.

Anyone have any ideas of what could be happening? I have no issues troubleshooting when I at least have suggestions from others, but seeing no one else post about it has me lost.

What distro is this on?

Is this the only game that has stopped working?

Are there any error messages?

Hi thanks for responding!

Apologies as I thought I included distro, Mint 22.

Only gane to have this happen.

No error messages are populating that I have seen.

Thank you for the reply!

Alright, as Mint is stable, we can dismiss any system changes to be the cause. The fact that it's the only affected game further proves this point.

How have you installed Steam? As a .deb or as a Flatpak?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I do have both, HLL being downloaded thru the .deb version of it

Hmm..., the .deb should be stable as well. Therefore, if anything, it's related to the game files changing due to recent updates. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I would able to help you out more than this. Consider paying a visit to communities like [email protected].

That is where I will head next. Thank you for at least taking the time to try and help!
