I'll say it again because I don't think this game gets the recognition it deserves:
Try it! If you have Gamepass, just download and try it. And if the core gameplay is fun to you, stick with it.
The game doesn't tell you much, but by playing (and simultaneously progressing the story) it gets so much better!
There is so much good going on in this one (also bad stuff, don't get me wrong) that I just wanted to say this:)
There are so many things wrong with this game. The console controls feel like they didn't put any effort into the control scheme, the tutorial is WAAAAAAAY too long for the complexity of this game, and to top it off you can't play it as a single player game, it's a pvpve nightmare. Capcom flopped hard with this one.
Not saying your critics aren't valid, tough I wouldn't really share them. Control scheme is fine to me (seems pretty standard?), tough the sensitivity is all kinds of wonky. Especially the tutorial (the first intro into the shooting range) - if anything I'd say it wasn't in depth enough. I do have to correct myself, I share your sentiment, that games should be playable in offline/single player. What this game is doesn't really allow that.
I guess you are looking for a different game then. The marketing was kinda unclear, so I get it. Wouldn't call it a flop anyway, there are lots of people enjoying it for what it is. :)
