According to a search warrant, Campbell River RCMP raided this property on the We Wai Kai First Nation in February as part of a drug-trafficking investigation. Police claim they seized 3,500 safe-supply hydromorphone pills, as well as fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.

3500 pills? That doesn't seem like a lot.

After a bit of googling, it turns out it isn't. There are a little over 4500 active prescriptions for it in BC as of April, at up to 28 pills per day for some users.

They're trading it in for harder stuff, or even just money for food in some cases according to other articles.
