Sooo... Does that indicate it's not a steering issue?
I'm wondering about drunk captains, but really that'd be more of a cruise ship thing, in all fairness
Nah, they put in a new steering system 3 weeks ago. Probably some screwed up during installation that caused the steering to lock.
Looking at the track, they basically did a gradual turn to the right until they ran aground. I imagine someone would have overridden the captain if that happened, they likely lost control over the steering.
