This is the John Rustad that said that carbon dioxide emissions were not contributing to climate change and 'we need to look at patients as revenue generators' and wants to invoke the notwithstanding clause to lock up people on mental health grounds. That's the Rustad that is getting a "thumbs-up" from business leaders.

I think you're under playing how stupid John Rustad is.

"Carbon dioxide is an essential component of life on this planet. It is not a pollution and that sort of misinformation out there is just ridiculous. It's ridiculous to do that, it doesn't serve anybody well," said Rustad.

Omg what an idiot. In a similar vein, we and the creatures of our earth needs light and sound to survive but that doesn't mean light and noise pollution aren't real.

Have you heard of the Goods Unite Us app. It is also a good resource to see which kind of values the us companies that operate in Canada support however it is us-centric.

Why don't you crowd source the work?

I'm not sure that Lemmy is the best option, but you could create a new community here and connect it to Mastodon, Matrix, Freidica etc. and ask people to contribute the information you want.

On the other hand, you could just download a list of members from your local Chamber of Commerce and that will be 90% accurate.
