I was going to say, anybody with a full size spare in a sedan like that probably also owns an angle grinder for later

Possible but dumb as long as it fits in the car somewhere. I probably won't be in that situation in my life, but if I were, I'd take it back to my house, grind the boot off, then take the pieces of the boot back to that spot and leave them.

Isn't it equally dumb to go back to the crime scene to drop off evidence? Very unlikely scenario, but it's great to hear, that it would also be possible to leave it there.
