this has been going on for at least 15 years sadly, AI is the new flavor but Turing processed systems have been doing the same. It does not make it better, just provides some framing.

Getting this right is hard even for programmers, Im sure some people are just cheap bastards, i expect some are hoping to decrease the error rate with these systems. In many cases, they do do significantly better and are more flexible than thier classic counterparts. There is much work to do still however, its certainly in its infancy and Im not a huge advocate of these use cases yet personally. Its too early
