Depending on the circumstances, isn't this a legit complaint? If you only use it on private property it doesn't need to be registered, right?
I am giving them the benefit of the don't since I have no further information. I'm sure the police have evidence to disprove this scenario.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that the vehicle was not on private property when it was towed.
Or not on his private property
I mean, if that's the case then yeah, but I have a hard time believing they only use their box truck on private land.
Doesn't give the police the right to trespass and tow it though, this isn't Minority Report (yet). They can impound it when they see it on a public road.
I hate that I have to agree with a SovCit, but they're not in the wrong here.
With everything we know about SovCits, I have no idea why you'd trust that what the SovCit is saying is actually true.
In their twisted logic they could claim some piece of public land as their own because they mailed some forms to a random government office. After that they say "my truck was on private land".
Because I have no evidence to the contrary, because ACAB is even more true than SovCits being dumb, and because I don't want people to think that just because a SovCit said it that it's not actually the law (in the US, anyway). Taking the facts at face value is only fair, and anyway SovCits don't need any help making fools of themselves.
10 bucks says they defaulted on a loan for that truck and it was being repossessed.
It doesn’t say it was on their property, just that it was on private property. The pigs may have been called by the owner of the property or, at least, contacted the property owner before towing. There isn’t enough info here to know exactly what happened or why the vehicle was towed.
If he had such a good defence then I really hope he found some good help, he was definitely asking the wrong people.
He never said it was his (just assuming) private property.
