Sometime around 2010 I discovered the Bic Atlantis pen, and have been using them exclusively since. I purchased my first pack of the new Bic Glide (supposedly nothing changed with them other than the name).

I have liked this pen because not only do I get little to no smudging, but I do not get the choppiness that i do with some other ballpoint pens.

I used to use a lot of felt tipped pens in my youth, but in 2003 I started to work for a research laboratory and there are quite strict rules about which pen you can and cannot use. Felt tip pens were out.

Curious what others use.

If you just found out your kid is a leftie, most of the world we can adapt to. But something that will make their school years easier, as well as their crafting ability, is left handed scissors. Once I got my pair, I found it was individually easier to cut things out. Try it - the typical pair is molded for a right hand, so it cuts into your thumb over extended use. But the worst part is the way the blades connect - you can't see what you're cutting! You have to hold your left hand far over your body's right side, or crane your neck over your hand to see what you're cutting. Otherwise, you just guess and it looks sloppy.

Keyboards, pianos, drums, doors, manual cars, all of this can be overcome. But scissors? Lefties need leftie scissors. I'm still using my pair 30 years later and they're worth their weight in gold.

I have always wanted to play guitar, and now that i am an adult with adult money i am finally going to learn. I am a lefty, and i do just about everything lefty and always have. archery is about the only thing i know i do righty and that is because the gear i had access to as a kid was right-handed.

I have access to a right-handed guitar, but not to a left-handed guitar to compare.

Curious what other sinister guitarists think before i shell out cash for a lefty.

Welcome! This community is for fellow left-handed lemmings, a well a their parents, children, or anyone who wants to learn about how we navigate in a world not designed for us.

In this community lefty or left, and righty or right refers to handedness only and has inference of political leaning.

If someone asks for help with a normally righty item and your response is “just do it the right way” this is not the community for you.
