Watched the Game Finals today, excellent match with unexpected characters. In fact I was most surprised at the total lack of Goldlewis players in top 6.

Hi, I just started getting back into guilty gear after a long hiatus and I feel like I've forgotten everything lol. I'm reading the wiki again but I still feel like I'm flailing around and not getting anywhere. Got any tips for me to get back on my feet and not get pummeled to dust (other than the wiki and practice)? Playing XX Accent Core Plus R if that changes things. Thanks in advance!

I am a frequent user of the subreddit and one of the founding motivators of r/TheyBlamedTheBeasts I understand you more or less abandoned the subreddit after the dumb decisions made by the developers which I understand 100% However, the only ones suffering from this decision are the members of the community I won’t ask you to come back because I know that’s probably not what you want but if you’re going to leave could you at least put somebody else in charge? I’m just trying to look out for the community of my favourite game. I personally have prepared solutions to many of the subreddits current problems that are actively killing it, if you were to make me a moderator, I can promise the sub will improve exponentially over the next week and months. What are all of you folks thinking about the new patch so far?

Personally, I’ve only done games against friends today, but I’ve loved the changes. Damage being overall lower is nice, even if people have more ways to do it now with the WA and their own changes. Scaling being increased almost across the board is huge, because it feels a lot less bad to make a single mistake.

For Testament (my main) specifically, I love what I got. Arbiter launching higher has been nice and opens up some new opportunities for combos, and Wild Assault even goes as far as letting me do a wall-to-wall now. My damage did get hit a little, but it doesn’t feel nearly as heavily lowered as some, like Ram.

Obviously it’s the first day and there’s some honeymoon-period excitement, but I’m excited so far. How are all of you feeling about it?

Mist Finer + the card seems to work basically how people thought it would.
There seems to be something interesting going on with the burst meter as well.

It seems my inspiration for videos is very narrow. But the shitposts are getting more elaborate.

There's not much new info but there are a couple of interesting tidbits.

Johnny uses cards, and if you hit the cards with mist finer you get an additional hit (you can see this in the announcement trailer).

Apparently they changed how you will gain burst meter? And the regular burst will also be enhanced.

The other characters will get new moves "throughout the season 3 updates"
